“Light & Jelly” resembles “The Blob”, a ravenous gelatin fluid from the movie by Yearworth. But this time it hungers for lamps and displays a minimalist design courtesy of Fabrice Fouillet and Le Creative Sweatshop.
Their jelly compost solidifies into prismatic shapes surrounding modern lamps, swallowing them up and filtering their light through its semitransparent entrails of psychedelic hues. The result is a project that absorbs and transforms contemporary designer pieces in an installation-collaboration that involves photography, product and set design.
