While it’s hard to believe that the summer Olympics are now over, one thing is for sure, London closed it out with a bang. Last night, the closing ceremonies included, according to the The Daily Mail, “one of the most spectacular fireworks displays the nation has ever seen.” The 80,000 stadium seat holders and the hundreds of thousands people in London got to look up into the sky and see it light up like never before.

Lucky some highly talented photographers from the AP, Getty and PA were able to capture the breathtaking fireworks display, making the event even more incredible by using a long exposure or even a fisheye lens.

“We lit the flame, and we lit up the world,” said London organizing committee chief Sebastian Coe. “When our time came, Britain, we did it right.”
